The ipad is the next generation of gadgetry to replace the netbook, but lets face it, it is no kindle and thus the only reason to replace my netbook with it would be the battery life and apps.

How about the lack of Flash support? During the keynote, browsing Flash content brought the dread 3D 'You Don't Have Flash' box up on a giant screen.
How can Apple say this device is better than a Netbook for Web browsing? I wouldn't buy a Netbook. But I wouldn't buy this either. It's no competition for a personal computer with all the Flash and Java plugins needed to view multimedia content. The iBooks app looks pretty slick though. But you can't read an iPad at the beach or outside in the park. Not nearly as well as a Kindle anyway. Ink on paper is still very hard to match, pun intended.
When Apple dropped the Flash export feature from Keynote '09 it caused a bit of a backlash. I fear the backlash for Flash-less Web browsing will be more fierce.
And I can't feature using iWork in any way resembling a professional pace or even ergonomically on the iPad. I'll check it out in 2011.

Lots of of bloggers are not really happy with this new iPad.There was 2 much hype regarding it and alot people got disapointed.Thing is, I for one see some of the cool potential of this gizmo. Third-party apps for playing tunes, games, newsprints and magazines and books, tons of neat stuff, but IMHO they failed to sell it right (excluding the books). It smells rather unfinished

[...] I believe the success of the iPad isn’t about its technological guts, nor even about whether its high sexiness quotient gets people to buy it; the iPad will sink or swim on the business relationships it creates or changes. [...]
