The 2012 version of ‘It Takes a Village’

It Takes a Village Drawing

Regular readers know that I lost my sister a few months ago. It was and has been, either surprisingly (you’re both in your 50s!) or unsurprisingly (I lost my sister!) a tremendously impactful and painful thing. Why Kickstarter is Real Business Change: There’s No Contract

KICKSTARTER !

This week, an interesting piece got posted at NPR. The question it addressed was this one:

When A Kickstarter Campaign Fails, Does Anyone Get The(ir) Money Back?

Kickstarter has a response to that question, and while you can read it, I’ll sum it up neatly—or perhaps not—by quoting from TechCrunch’s commentary on the matter: “We Take Accountability Very Seriously”.

Oh, really?

Rabbit Troupes, Kickstarts, Social Media, Business Change

So I’m reading my Twitter feed over the weekend, and I come across this post by one of my sons:

Rabbit Troupe’s kickstarter was officially funded as of . . . 43 minutes ago.

I don’t know what a Rabbit Troupe is, but I do know that the Rabbit Troupe he was referring to is a local band in New Jersey. My son Mike, the lead . . . umm . . .talker . . . for Bedtime Stories, is all palsy with the boys in Rabbit Troupe and was excited that his buddies had successfully raised the money they were looking for on Kickstarter.
