Once upon a time, mickeleh, as he calls himself on YouTube, was a highly-placed Appler, and if you click the picture above you can see mickeleh tell about the time then-Apple CEO Gil Amelio delivered the worst keynote address in the history of keynote addresses.
Mickeleh talks about this disastrous event for fifteen minutes. He never leaves the screen; it’s the definition of a talking-head video. And yet, watching Michael Markman ramble for fifteen minutes about the agony of watching Gil Amelio for much longer than than is … well, fun.
Fun is the point. While newspapers trying to achieve Influency by turning reporters into ad-hoc talking heads will almost always be a bad idea, watching someone with a comedian’s timing speaking from a script can work.
